Seekers: The Rationality of Christianity

Hebrews 12:1-2 (NIV)

v1: Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles.

Faith in Jesus is not blind faith, but a highly rational and vital decision that considers several historical proofs for the Resurrection of Jesus as well as over 300 fulfilled Old Testament prophecies.

v1-2a: And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith.

We begin by faith and we continue by faith, placing our trust in a real and living person, Jesus.

v2b: For the joy set before him he endured the cross,scorning its shame,and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Jesus considerd it joy to endure the cross because he accomplished the will of the Father to provide a saving sacrifice to pay for the penalty of our sins.
